Hardware Quality Engineer (F/M/D)

Are you ready to work hands on on a wide set of tasks ranging from performing quality checks, development of an efficient quality control system and debugging found issues? As a Hardware Quality Engineer, you will work as an integral part of our Design and Engineering Team together with Production and Supply Chain Management, our Assembly Technicians and also with Designers, Mechanical and Electrical Engineers ensuring the highest quality of our Indoor Mapping Mobile Systems.
You will work on:
  • Executing operative quality checks for hardware and software components as well as creating efficient testing tools and methods
  • Systematically analyzing the issues identified and proposing countermeasures
  • Keeping quality checks up to date, implementing changes, and constantly improving them
  • Supporting our in-house assembly team by providing constructive feedback and training peers on quality checks
  • Constantly improving the quality control process
  • Reporting on our production quality
  • Creation of bug tickets, aligning them within the team or cross-team alignment with other Quality Engineers
  • Testing critical components and making proposals to the production management
You have:
  • A degree in Electrical, Mechanical or Industrial Engineering, Engineering Management, Computer Science (or related field) or vocational training in Hardware Engineering
  • 2 years professional experience in Hardware Quality Control, performing quality checks in a related field of technology - ideally in a small scale production / medium-sized company
  • Experience in solving tricky debugging cases of Electrical and / or Mechanical hardware
  • Theoretical knowledge of Quality Control methods
  • Strong problem-solving skills and fun exploring the latest tech gadgets
You are:
  • Able to communicate and coordinate within a multidisciplinary team (hardware and software developers, supply chain, production management and mechanics) along with external suppliers
  • Structured and self-managed in your way of working
  • Keen on working in a creative Design and Engineering Team
  • Fluent in English (German is a plus)
